Comcast abruptly shut down the gaming-focused channel less than a year after it launched, and The Washington Post has a big report about how things went south.
Executives apparently couldn’t decide on a strategy, and the network spent huge sums of money on hosts and guest appearances. Also, the son of Comcast’s CEO had an office based on Emperor Palpatine’s throne room. Seriously!

On Thursday night, TikTok tweeted a thread pushing back on Forbes’ report that it planned to track specific US citizens using the app. This morning, article author Emily Baker-White tweeted a thread of her own responding to the response, pointing out that “neither TikTok nor ByteDance denied anything we reported.”

“Ubisoft is always looking into finding new platforms and opportunities for our players to play our games and engage in our content,” spokesperson Jessica Roache in a statement sent to The Verge on Thursday. The studio has been a big supporter of cloud gaming platforms like Stadia and Luna, and it’s already working with Netflix on mobile games and an Assassin’s Creed series.
The company announced last month that the update was on the way. If you’re looking to pick up one of the high-end speakers, it now comes in white, too.
