YouTube will let you use AI to make games for the platform.

“YouTube is launching a closed Beta test for Playables Builder, a prototype web app built using Gemini 3 where users create games with short text, video or image prompts,” the company says. You can try some games made with the tool on the Playables Builder website.

Forza Motorsport isn’t getting new content anymore.

According to a new blog post:

...we do not plan to introduce new cars, tracks, features, or regular bug fixes for Forza Motorsport. However, we will continue supporting the game by keeping online servers active, hosting special events and competitions, and reintroducing previously released Featured Tours and reward cars on a monthly basis, until all content is available for you to enjoy anytime.

Developer Turn 10 was hit hard by this summer’s Xbox layoffs.

Netflix is “100% committed” to releasing WB films in theaters.

Netflix’s co-CEOs, in a letter to WBD stockholders:

There’s been a lot of talk about theatrical distribution, so we want to set the record straight: we are 100% committed to releasing Warner Bros. films in theaters with industry-standard windows. While this hasn’t been part of our business model until now, we are looking forward to bringing this expertise from Warner Bros. to Netflix.

WBD is urging shareholders to reject Paramount’s latest offer.

    Steam’s 2025 Replay is live.

Check out yours by clicking the giant Replay banner on the Steam homepage. For me, Hollow Knight: Silksong has taken up 13 percent of my playtime on Steam games (a trend that could continue next year), but turns out I played a lot of Hades II, too.

If you buy something from a Verge link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Here’s my stats for Silksong. I haven’t even finished Act II yet.

    Your year in NYT games.

The New York Times games now have their own Spotify Wrapped-like recap of the past year. The recap is accessible in the NYT Games mobile apps or in a mobile browser. You’ll be shocked to learn that Wordle was the NYT’s most-played game in 2025.
