    Netatmo’s new smart door lock uses NFC keys and no Wi-Fi.

    I first saw the Netatmo’s smart lock at CES ... in 2020! But it’s finally here (well, Europe). As with all the company’s products, it’s privacy-centric (no internet connection at all) and pricey.

    The €379.99 lock (welp) retrofits to any Euro cylinder lock and uses smart NFC keys that can’t be replicated and can be deactivated remotely. It can also be controlled over BLE with your phone and works with Apple Home (but no Home Key, and no Matter or Thread either).

    SwitchBot’s sci-fi-like robot vacuum/mop is now available to pre-order on Kickstarter for $899.

    The SwitchBot S10 hooks into your plumbing to fill and drain its built-in water tank. It can also deliver water to other devices, like SwitchBot’s new humidifier.

    The early bird price gets you $300 off the $1,200 robot, but it’s not shipping until March. I saw a demo of the device at IFA 2023 this year and will be testing it shortly.
