This is the first integration we’ve seen since Ecobee was bought by Generac in November 2021, but given both companies focus on home energy management, it likely won’t be the last.

Ecobee CEO Stuart Lombard told me at CES this year that the shared vision includes a whole home energy ecosystem that incorporates not only HVAC and generators but also home solar and battery storage. Watch this space.

Samsung’s MyBespoke fridge panels for its French door Bespoke refrigerators are now available, nearly a year after being announced.

Just upload your design at Samsung.com when you buy the fridge and pay an extra $600 ( $300 per side). But they’re swappable. So if you fancy a new look in a few months, you have (expensive) options.

The new plug will work with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings through Matter, as well as TP-Link’s Tapo app.
