Apple says draft measures proposed by the EU — which would force Google to give competing AI services more access to Android — would “create profound risks” for user privacy, security, device integrity, and performance. Given Apple has long protested its own interoperability obligations, its interest in Google’s case isn’t surprising.
A new “Google Home Display” has been spotted in the code for the iOS Google Home app. We already knew that Google is launching a Gemini-powered Home Speaker this spring, but this suggests that a Nest Hub-like device is also in the works — Google’s first since 2021.
It seems that x86 hardware will be part of Google’s new laptop platform, although Intel doesn’t specify what processors it’ll be using:

Googlebook is also expected to support ARM-based chipsets from other vendors, so perhaps the partnership isn’t exclusive.
Prime Video hasn’t mentioned how many episodes its ordered to adapt the Rebecca Yarros dragon-riding romantasy novels that are so widely beloved by BookTok, but Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House, Locke & Key) will serve as showrunner and executive producer.
