BeReal launches its celebrity and brand-driven feeds.
Today, the photo-sharing app is finally launching the “RealPeople” celebrity accounts feature it announced last May, providing stars like Niall Horan and Dixie D’Amelio with officially verified accounts on the platform.
This potential deviation from BeReal’s goal of promoting authentic and unfiltered social media interactions is also joined by RealBrands — new accounts that allow companies like Adidas and Glossier to share “candid” moments with their followers.

Resetting the Apple Vision Pro’s passcode is a real farce.
Unlike other Apple devices that can be reset at home, if users forget their passcode or disable their Vision Pro by entering it incorrectly too many times, they’ll need to take the headset to an Apple store or ship it in for the device to be wiped and reset.

Those explicit AI-generated Taylor Swift images, unsurprisingly, came from 4Chan.
Bloomberg reports that users on the forum have been competing to find ways to bypass keyword filters on AI image-generation tools that prevent sexually explicit materials from being produced. The images moved from 4Chan to Telegram to X where they found viral attention.
Research from social network analysis company Graphika found that Swift isn’t even the community’s most frequently targeted victim, which range from global celebrities to school children.

EU member states have unanimously approved its AI Act rulebook.
Ambassadors from all 27 countries within the bloc have now endorsed the AI Act text following months of negotiations over how artificial intelligence should be regulated.
However, some hurdles and potential for further lobbying still remain before it comes into force — Euractiv reports that the IMCO Committee is expected to adopt the rules on February 13th, followed by a plenary vote scheduled for April 10-11th.
