The Find Hub app on Android has been updated, allowing you to create notifications for when someone arrives or leaves a set location, like home or work. The person you’re tracking will be alerted to the notifications, and can disable them at any time.
The encryption is enabled by default for every voice and video call, though the company has no plans to extend that to text messages on the platform. “Call quality and performance remain at the level our users expect,” Discord’s Mark Smith said in a blog post. “E2EE happens transparently.”
Unverified users only need to worry if they’re making more than 50 original posts and 200 replies per day, compared to the previous limit of 2,400 daily posts. This move is presumably trying to tackle bot accounts, since 50 posts is far more than most people will use.
After launching for iPhone last year, Firefox users on Android can now shake their device on any webpage under 5,000 words to get an AI-generated summary of its contents. You can disable the feature entirely, or select “Summarize Page” under “More” in the three-dot menu if you prefer tapping.
Open source tech creators Diolinux have released a free patch that rearranges the Gimp UI to resemble Adobe’s Photoshop editing software. That familiar layout should make it easier for long-time Photoshop users to make the switch. Installation instructions for Linux and Windows are available on GitHub.
The deal is valued at $100 million according to Puck, and would add a US-based brand to Shein’s portfolio after President Trump ended the de minimis exemption on cheap imported goods. If true, that’s a notable pivot for Everlane, which until now has built its brand around sustainability.
