Adobe is bringing live collaboration to Photoshop.

The co-editing feature is currently in testing, and will allow multiple Photoshop users to work on the same canvas in real time while monitoring what’s being changed — similar to a Google Docs file.

It’s a notable upgrade to Photoshop’s current collaboration capabilities. A similar feature is already available for Adobe Express, and competing design apps like Canva and Figma.

A screenshot demonstrating what Adobe Photoshop’s live collaboration feature will look like.
Users will need to pay attention to what everyone else in the file is editing to avoid adjusting the same things.

You can now run Doom in a PDF.

The DoomPDF port made by Github user Ading2210 manages to combine the classic first-person shooter and document format — both released in 1993 — providing you play it on Chromium-based browsers that use the PDFium engine.

The Register reports that the port was inspired by Thomas Rinsma, a developer who managed to similarly package Tetris inside a PDF this month, before later getting Doom to work too.

An update on that AI-powered Alexa.

Amazon’s AGI lead Rohit Prasad told The Financial Times that Alexa’s generative AI makeover still faces technical hurdles, including fabricated answers, reliability, and response speed, and will be relaunched as an AI Agent when sorted.

“Hallucinations have to be close to zero,” said Prasad. “It’s still an open problem in the industry, but we are working extremely hard on it.”

Europe may be caving to Trump’s regulatory whims.

Brussels is reportedly reassessing investigations into Apple, Meta, and Google following tech leaders like Tim Cook and Mark Zuckerberg urging the president-elect to combat EU enforcement.

“It’s going to be a whole new ballgame with these tech oligarchs so close to Trump and using that to pressurize us,” an unnamed EU diplomat told The Financial Times. “So much is up in the air right now.”

Blue Origin sets a new window for New Glenn launch.

Following yesterday’s launch attempt being scrubbed, the NG-1 launch was first pushed to “no earlier than Tuesday” and now “no earlier than Thursday”

The rocket launch has been kicked down the road several times because of unfavorable conditions, including “ice forming in a purge line on an auxiliary power unit” during Monday’s attempt.

    Don’t be a drone dummy.

Two people have been arrested in California for flying unauthorized drones in areas impacted by the LA wildfires, according to a police report seen by Deadline.

The arrests follow a collision last Thursday between a civilian drone and a “Super Scooper” that was fighting the blazes, grounding the plane. The FAA says it’s investigating the incident. LA airspace restrictions are in place until January 25th.
