Three new phones plus as many as five new laptops could await us on February 1st.

Last of Us voice actor Annie Wersching has died of cancer aged 45.

As well as playing Tess in the first Last of Us game, Wersching was also known for her roles as Renee Walker in 24, and Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard. Here’s a clip of my favorite scene of hers from The Last Of Us, but be warned it contains a pretty massive spoiler if you haven’t played the game.

Another Twitter co-founder isn’t sold on Elon Musk’s leadership.

A month after Jack Dorsey expressed concern over new owner Elon Musk’s handling of the so-called Twitter Files, another Twitter co-founder Biz Stone has commented on the Tesla CEO’s leadership style. Per The Guardian:

Asked if Musk was the right owner for Twitter, Stone said: “It doesn’t seem like it right now, but I could be wrong.”

    This does not spark joy.

Professional tidier Marie Kondo, who rose to fame in the West with a mantra that involves ridding yourself of items that don’t “spark joy,” admits that she’s “kind of given up” on being perfectly organized after having three kids. “Now I realize what is important to me is enjoying spending time with my children at home,” she said, per the Washington Post.

    Stadia: Gone but not forgotten.

Google’s Stadia service is no more, but that doesn’t mean we can’t attempt to relive the glory days of the once-promising cloud gaming service. 9to5Google reports that one Steam Deck owner has tried to recapture the magic with a custom theme for the handheld that draws inspiration from Stadia’s red/orange color scheme.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Stadia.

Is that a tablet you’re teasing, OnePlus?

Alongside its new OnePlus 11 flagship and Buds Pro 2 earbuds, it’s increasingly looking as though the Oppo subsidiary will be announcing an Android tablet at its event on February 7th.

That’s because a new promotional image for the event on OnePlus’ website shows the phone and earbuds sitting on top of what appears to be a big ol’ tablet. The name of the image? “Pad1.jpg”

Sometimes the lazy ways are best.

The Washington Post has just published a great explainer on the most energy efficient (and therefore cost-effective) ways to use modern appliances. I felt particularly validated by the section on dishwashers, which points out that modern models are more efficient than washing by hand even if you’re running it half-full.

    Take that, dad.
