    The US isn’t done cracking down on the LockBit ransomware group.

    The Department of State is offering up to $15 million in rewards for information that leads to the arrest or conviction of anyone who’s been involved in the ransomeware attacks with LockBit.

    The announcement comes one day after law enforcement agencies said they’d disrupted the group and gotten the keys to decrypt hacked data.

    Spammy Russia-based accounts explode on Meta platforms but aren’t gaining as much traction.

    Meta has found a growing number of accounts and pages linked to coordinated inauthentic behavior (CIB) from Russia, but they’re not gaining as many followers as before, the company said in a new report.

    Since 2022, Meta wrote, “we’ve seen fewer attempts to build complex deceptive personas in favor of thinly-disguised, short-lived fake accounts in an effort to spam the internet, hoping something will ‘stick.’”

    But Meta has noted “a consistent decline” in following of these kinds of accounts.
