    Musk takes a mulligan.

Elon Musk ran a poll asking when he should un-suspend the journalists who tweeted about “ElonJet.” When “now” won, he said he was redoing the poll, and started a new one that’ll run for 24 hours. Now is currently winning at around 55 percent.

Musk has said he unbanned Trump, as well as a swathe of previously suspended accounts, based on poll results.

Screenshot of three tweets: The first is a poll from Elon Musk reading “Unsuspend accounts who doxxed my exact location in real-time?” with the options “Now,” “Tomorrow,” “7 days from now,” and “longer.” Now won with 43 percent. Musk responded “sorry, too many options. Will redo poll,” then created a new poll with the same question, but two options: “now,” and “in 7 days.”
    Four options is too many.

    Bandcamp Fridays are continuing.

Earlier this year, when Bandcamp brought back its (mostly) monthly event where it waives its platform fees to give musicians more money, the last one on the schedule was December 2nd.

Now, according to an email sent to users, it’s planning on continuing the tradition into 2023, starting on February 3rd. The company says it’ll “share dates for the rest of the year soon.” I’ve marked my calendar with a reminder to finally complete my collection of Colour Revolt and Wallice albums.

Check your emails, MacBook Pro owners.

If you’ve had to get your MacBook repaired because of a bad butterfly keyboard, you may be getting some money thanks to a class action lawsuit Apple settled for $50 million earlier this year. (Though maybe check out that link for details on the many, many asterisks.)

Emails with info on how to sign up for the payout have started to go out, according to MacRumors, so keep an eye out.

Building a house in Tokyo? Budget for solar.

Tokyo will require that houses being built by major companies will have to include solar panels starting in early 2025, according to Kyodo News (via Electrek).

It’s a solid move, but the Japanese capital is far from the first to make it: California passed a similar law in 2018, and countries like China and France have also been looking into pushing solar infrastructure in various ways. The EU has also proposed requirements of its own.

Looking for some cool board games?

Check out Polygon’s list of the ones that really stood out this year, which covers the gamut from easy party games, to Magic: The Gathering sets, and hardcore strategy.

It could also be useful if you’re still doing holiday shopping — board games are a great gift for those of us who struggle to find gaming partners, because at least one person will be obligated to play it with you.
