While Google’s ATAP team arrived at Fashion Week with some Project Soli-enhanced visualizations, the show stopper for us is this dress that appeared out of thin air on model Bella Hadid.
The Cut explains that the magic at work is something called Fabrican. which is “a liquid fiber, bound together with polymers, bio polymers and greener solvents, that evaporates when the spray reaches a surface, in this case, Hadid’s body.”

It’s scheduled to start at 8PM ET, but based on past Musk events, I’d add some cushion to that start time. You could use a few minutes to let Andrew Hawkins explain what to expect in AI and self-driving cars or read James Vincent’s dive into the state of robotics to find out where a Tesla Bot might fit.

Street shark... or lake fish.
When we started our reporting this morning, I said we’d update you on that viral video of a shark in a flooded street, and here’s the explanation.
Unlike the usual “shark in a highway” pic that goes around every time there are flooded streets — this video was real and taken yesterday morning in Florida as Hurricane Ian approached.
However, as Storyful’s Rob McDonagh explains, it wasn’t in a street, and it’s hard to tell if it truly shows a shark.
