Yes, Google Chrome, *please* let me temporarily pause all my extensions with a single click.

Sometimes I need Chrome extensions to do my job. Sometimes I can’t do my job until whichever one’s misbehaving gets out of my face. So please let this be true.

Also, TIL there’s now a paid version of Chrome for enterprise with extra security?

Just Cause game developer Avalanche has unionized.

Only the one-fifth of the company in Sweden will be covered by the two-year collective bargaining agreement, it seems, but that’s a big deal in an industry that’s dealt with quite a bit of worker exploitation. Two other recent changes: a union of 600 Activision QA workers, and Sega of America’s first union contract.

“The first ever conviction for the hack of a smart contract.”

More gadgets to stuff more colors into your 3D printing projects.

Creality and Anycubic have each announced their own takes on Bambu’s AMS — a gadget that lets printers automatically swap between four different colors mid-print. No prices yet, but Creality tells me you won’t strictly need its K2 Plus printer to use that one; it’ll work with K1 and Ender-3 V3, too.

It’s your last day to get free PC copies of The Outer Worlds and Thief.

I continue to be amazed how the Epic Games Store can afford to give away big-budget games for free — like The Outer Worlds, a well-received 2019 game that’s never sold for less than $18 on Steam. Here are three reasons why it can! Another is that EGS isn’t profitable, over five years later.

Both these games are free, no strings attached, till 8AM tomorrow.
