It’s Wednesday and that means free gadgets.

The seventh Today I’m Toying With giveaway is live. Each week, I give away gadgets from my TITW videos, because I can’t ethically keep them! You can enter each new giveaway at theverge.com/TITW (or by email, see the rules) starting 9AM each Wednesday; I draw a winner a week later.

That lying drone company we caught? The FCC has now banned Odyssey Robot.

Empty offices. Bald-faced lies. No real consequences. Our investigation suggests it’s cheap and easy to dodge the US drone ban — but at least the FCC is revoking Odyssey Robot’s authorizations after we made the agency aware. The FCC’s order doesn’t begin to explore whether Odyssey might be DJI in disguise.

Are you seeing a rival Android app store inside the US Google Play Store — or not?

Aptoide is the first third-party app store inside Google Play after Epic’s victory, but Aptoide CEO Paulo Trezentos tells me “I’d say 50% of people with a US account are not yet able to access it.” Most Verge staffers I’ve asked can, but a fully updated Pixel 9 review unit can’t. Google spox Dan Jackson tells me the feature is fully rolled out. Can you see it?

Razer’s new mouse turns a divisive feature into a new button.

The $180 Razer Naga V3 Pro MMO mouse has mouse buttons under three fingers instead of two. The entire ring finger rest is a button. The rest has been polarizing for years — the original Naga even let you remove it — but the new button is optional. You can lock it with a switch.

If you buy something from a Verge link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

DJI says its civilian customers are the target of a new ban on foreign ‘military-grade’ drones.

On July 21st, the FCC threatened to retroactively ban foreign crop-dusting sprayer drones because they could dispense poison, drones over 55 pounds because they could carry weapons, LiDAR and thermal camera drones and drone docks because they could enable spies. DJI wants you to tell the FCC how you feel about that. Weird times we live in:

Feast your eyes on Hideo Kojima’s transparent CD player.

It’s a limited-edition orange Death Stranding version of km5’s CP1, a wireless CD player with USB-C charging, 7-8 hour battery, Bluetooth and 3.5mm output — plus optional screw mounts for your wall. Out of stock, but neon yellon is still available without Kojima’s touches. A worthy addition to our transparent gadget StoryStream.

Here’s a gallery of the new orange and older neon yellow version.

This Steam Machine-inspired 5.5-liter PC is so damn clean.

Yes, it’s bigger than the 3.8-liter Steam Machine and the 4.5-liter Framework Desktop, but nicnic’s DIY desktop oozes style — and fits Valve’s open-source “Inkterface” e-paper status screen. If you don’t care for slime green, why not print your own in any color you like? The files are free.
