Here’s the snake-like folding pocket projector to go with your folding phone.

The Aurzen Zip folds down to fit my pocket with ease, attaches to MagSafe stands, and works in portrait and landscape! Too thin for full HDMI and no USB-C video, though — it mirrors your phone wirelessly.

And at 100 lumen brightness (or just 60 lumens if you want the quoted 90 minutes of battery life), you shouldn’t expect a big bright screen. $400, coming March.

If you use huge quantities of AA or AAA batteries, the Olight Ostation X might tempt you.

It’s like an auto-sorting piggy bank — except here, it’s auto-sorting, charging (and occasionally discarding) rechargeable NiMH batteries for you. It still charges four at once like my Eneloop chargers... but it holds 32 at a time!

I spotted the $99-and-up Kickstarter project here at CES 2025. Didn’t stick around long enough for a full charge though.

The AutoKeybo is the keyboard for people who dream of Wolverine.

What if your keyboard were a pair of retractable claws with a giant touchpad and numpad lurking underneath? What if they were controlled by an AI camera watching your hands so you could “Escape hundreds of manual/hand transfers across the interface each day!”? Also, what if it cost $700?

It’s supposed to be “automatic” and “natural” — feels like there’s a bit of a learning curve to me.

They brought dancing anime girl pods to CES 2025.

“Character Livehouse”: a tube with a 1200p screen inside where your favorite character can live. Import their 3D model, then AI chat with them while a 3D engine makes ‘em move and dance. There’s a camera for gesture control, a tiny touchscreen control panel, and RGB lighting.

The company claims it can “gently wake you up,” “cheer you on” while you game, even softly whisper you to sleep. $400-$500 on Kickstarter soon.

Ayaneo 3: could the “world’s first modular handheld” solve the great joystick debate?

It’s probably going to cost a buttload of money, but I’m seriously intrigued: could this modular design let some of us get symmetrical sticks, others offset Xbox-style sticks, and still others enjoy touchpads or extra buttons instead?

Still, looks like you’ll have to “pick two” at a time — while the Steam Deck offers dual touchpads, dual sticks and D-pad simultaneously.

Here’s the moment the Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside Trump’s hotel.

No one visually gets hurt in this video — you see a big explosion, a bystander running away, and a lot of firework-like secondary bangs. But authorities found one person dead inside the Cybertruck, and seven others reported minor injuries.

Authorities, including the FBI, are currently investigating the incident at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. Here’s our story.
