This unannounced AMD graphics chip is coming to a handheld docking station near you.

OneXPlayer just spilled the beans on the AMD Radeon RX 7800M — cuz it’ll be in its new graphic dock, the OneXGPU2. As Liliputing points out, the last time someone designed a portable eGPU around a Radeon laptop chip, most other boutique handheld makers followed suit.

Big FPS boosts for handhelds when docked, I hear, but quite pricey too.

The DJI Neo is poised to become my dream budget drone.

Most drones are aimed at relatively technical pilots — but that’s changing! The DJI Avata lets beginners experience flying like they’re in the cockpit; the HoverAir X1 is a pocketable self-flying camera.

While we originally thought the Neo might chase HoverAir, it sounds like it could double as a cheaper Avata, too! I wish my Mini 2 worked with the motion controller and goggles.

Will PC makers extend their warranty on Intel’s crashing chips? This one just did.

Puget Systems writes it’s indeed seeing higher failure rates with 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors — so it’ll extend warranty to three years for affected buyers. Normally, Puget only warranties parts for one year.

We don’t yet know if Intel is helping PC makers extend warranty. So far it’s only extended warranty on its own retail chips.

The ‘world’s first horizontally foldable 360 degree laptop’ is just $900.

I wasn’t expecting the Acemagic X1 to be affordable, but it makes sense — like we discussed a month ago, its other specs are pretty mid.

ALSO like we discussed a month ago, the laptop will indeed have Stewart Brand’s iconic Whole Earth Catalog quote engraved into a decorative gold rectangle above the keyboard because reasons!

    That’s not a shield — it’s a second screen.

The cloud gaming service that works most anywhere is ending support for older operating systems.

Starting in November, GeForce NOW will transition away from updating the GeForce NOW Windows and macOS apps for legacy operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and macOS 10.11-10.14. Members on these systems can still enjoy streaming on play.geforcenow.com via supported web browsers.

Probably fine; just feels odd! Nvidia marketed GFN as the way to virtually stuff a new GPU into your aging laptop.

Ayaneo’s homage to the Game Boy and Game Boy Micro are *not* cheap.

$450 MSRP for a Game Boy emulator console is a bundle of cash, OLED screen and premium build notwithstanding — $700 if you want it in Game Boy grey.

$220 for the elegant Micro seems better, but we’re still talking about a crowdfunded Indiegogo. Would you pick these over an $220 Analogue Pocket? Full specs at the links.

What if AMD gaming tablet, but hugely more powerful plugged in?

Asus thermal engineer Sam Jiun-Wei Hu has revealed he’s been working on an unannounced ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet for 2025 that would contain the unannounced AMD Strix Halo chip — with an incredible 80W of power for its integrated GPU alone, and 30W more for the CPU.

The previous-gen housed up to a 65W RTX 4070 Mobile, but limited it to 35W on battery power.
