The 512GB Steam Deck OLED is back in stock in US. Might disappear any second.

The 1TB version also reappeared this morning, but was gone before I could get up a Verge Quick Post. I’m moving faster this time! Here’s the store page. Valve warned on February 16th it’ll be intermittently out of stock because of RAMageddon. Wednesday was the Deck’s fourth anniversary. (Update: 1TB is back too, and hearing Canada has stock as well!)

The Steam Deck is missing its fourth birthday — except in the UK.

Today is the fourth anniversary of Valve’s gaming handheld, which has been out of stock for weeks due to RAM... but when I set my VPN to the UK, I see some available now! Not in the US, EU or Asia, though.

Last February 25th, I wrote how the Deck had dominated handheld sales; recently, Circana analyst Mat Piscatella shared that the Asus ROG Ally still hasn’t made a dent.

Samsung’s mirror-covered magnetic popsocket looks like fun.

Want a phone grip that doubles as a mirror? Samsung had two hiding away upstairs at Galaxy Unpacked, one folding retractable clamshell and one ring grip. Also, some fidget toy cases for your new Galaxy Buds. I don’t have prices or dates, but suspect one is the Magnet Mirror Tok mentioned in this Singapore press release.

New Xbox CEO: ‘The plan’s the plan until it’s not the plan.’

Microsoft gaming CEO Asha Sharma says almost nothing’s been decided about the future of Xbox, telling Windows Central:

Right now, I need to learn, candidly. About the ‘why’ of these decisions, what we were optimizing for, and what the data says about the Xbox strategy today. That’s the honest answer. I’m looking at lifetime value, not just what happened in a previous moment, or in short term efficiencies and things like that. The plan’s the plan until it’s not the plan.

Nothing might be the right thing to promise at a moment like this. But she also says hardware news announcements are coming.
