Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear is now a $600 robot toy.

Robosen, maker of self-transforming Transformers, has teamed up with Disney to bring its Space Ranger toy to life.

It’s got 23 servo motors, working buttons (save the laser, weirdly!) and even has Buzz’s Spanish mode — plus new “first-of-its-kind micro-servos” to move its eyes and mouth. Mine has a bit of a lazy eye, though! 3.7 pounds, 14.6 inches tall, on sale today.

Here’s why Epic says Google shouldn’t get to delay its court-ordered app store changes.

Will Google begin opening up its store on November 1st, or will it get to delay for years on appeal? We’ll find out tomorrow; in the meanwhile, you can read Epic’s opposition at the link below.

Epic argues Google’s already had plenty of time to change things — since the jury’s verdict was 10 months ago.

These leaked DJI Goggles N3 could be the missing puzzle piece.

The $199 DJI Neo wasn’t the affordable FPV drone it could have been, because the goggles were too expensive! But DJI’s apparently about to change that — with budget goggles that swap out per-eye Micro-OLED luxury for a cheaper single screen.

Today, DJI’s least expensive goggles cost $349, and even those don’t work with the Neo. Hoping for sub-$200 here.

Fix the PS5 Slim’s crack, make it black, and add an awesome magnetic stand.

Remember the Dbrand Darkplates that pissed off Sony and eventually let you make your PS5 retro-translucent? You can now buy a $60 black version for PS5 Slim that unifies the original split panels — and for $70, it’ll come with a self-aligning magnetic stand.

Stand doesn’t work without panels; panels don’t work with Sony’s tiny stand.

Dbrand’s optional Lightstrips are an add-on.

Valve rejects Junk Store, won’t allow Steam Deck plugins after all.

Turns out the answer is no. As far as I’m aware, Junk Store will still be available to sideload through Decky Loader, though.

On Friday, we’ll hear whether Google can delay cracking open Android.

Last week, Judge Donato ruled that Google would have to open up Android to third-party app stores starting November 1st — but Google immediately filed an appeal and asked for an emergency stay.

Now, the judge will hear Google’s motion on October 18th. If he grants it, it could be years until Google makes changes, even if higher courts agree with his ruling.

“A hearing... is set for October 18, 2024.”
The judge’s latest order in Epic v. Google.
