    Amazon has reportedly canceled its Stargate reboot.

    According to Variety, “Amazon execs were concerned that [Martin] Gero’s take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise’s already dedicated fanbase.” Gero formerly wrote, produced, and directed episodes of all three of the original Stargate series and was set to lead Amazon’s reboot as writer and showrunner.

    NPR reports the feds are investigating George Santos for allegedly betting on his own SOTU attendance.

    The former Republican congressman claimed in a video on X that he would be at the State of the Union in February, but didn’t show up. Now, according to NPR reporter Bobby Allyn’s sources, the DOJ and CFTC are investigating whether Santos made tens of thousands of dollars betting on Kalshi that he wouldn’t be there.

    Google Photos is about to launch its AI-generated “digital wardrobe” full of your clothes.

    It uses data from your pictures to mix and match outfits in a virtual try-on you can save and share. It’s rolling out in the US, India, and Brazil as part of the June Android drop, starting with AI Pro/Ultra subscribers and “other select users” on Android, but you’ll need at least 1,000 photos of yourself to be eligible to try it out without a subscription.

    Microsoft’s new publication has a familiar name and is aimed at developers, kicking off with information about the launch of Project Solara, its agentic AI hardware-focused platform.

    Withings launches the BodyFit body comp scale, a $279 budget-priced update to its BodyScan.

    The BodyFit, available starting today, is a more affordable alternative to Withings’s $600 “longevity station” BodyScan 2 or the original BodyScan, which got a tariff price hike to $499.95 last year. Withings claims the BodyFit can deliver a “DEXA-level” “full-spectrum, 6-zone body composition scan in just 10 seconds.”

    SK Hynix is planning to double memory production over the next five years.

    As Bloomberg reports, SK Hynix chairman Chey Tae-won says the company will do “whatever it requires” to expand chip production, but that will take years. So, unfortunately for anyone trying to buy a Steam Deck or build a gaming PC right now, the RAM shortage probably isn’t ending anytime soon.

    Japan’s first Google Store is opening this summer.

    The Omotesando, Tokyo Google Store will be Google’s first physical store outside the US, as Engadget reports. It will also be Google’s 11th store worldwide since opening its first physical store in 2021. Google says the new shop will offer Pixel devices, AI experiences, on-site repairs, and online order pickups.

    TP Link says its first Wi-Fi 8 routers start shipping in October.

    The Archer 8 will be TP-Link’s first Wi-Fi 8 router, followed by more Wi-Fi 8 devices launching in 2027. TP-Link claims the new router, coming just a year after its first Wi-Fi 8 prototype connection, will offer better reliability and lower latency compared to Wi-Fi 7.
