    Paying $8 a month for Twitter seems like a bad deal.

    Unless you’re someone who absolutely needs to appear in the mentions of an official Twitter user. But even then, you really need to have something useful to say — a one-time troll isn’t going to give you much value. Elon Musk still hasn’t articulated why paying for Twitter will bring the average person value, and at $8 a month, he’s competing with streaming services that offer much more than a cosmetic blue checkmark.
