Mamdani plans to kill off NYC’s chatbot that told businesses to break the law.

Under Eric Adams, NYC launched a chatbot to help businesses navigate government programs and regulations. Instead, reporting by The City and The Markup showed that it regularly encouraged illegal behavior, such as taking a portion of employees’ tips or refusing to accept cash payments. It apparently didn’t even know the minimum wage.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin visited Epstein’s private island and traded emails with Ghislaine Maxwell.

The latest batch of documents released by the DOJ reveals that Brin had corresponded with Maxwell as early as 2003, and was invited to dinner at Epstein’s townhouse that year. The files also contain testimony that places Brin and his then fiancée, Anne Wojcicki, at the private island in 2007. It’s not a great look for one of the authors of “Don’t Be Evil.”

Almost a week after being hit with a storm, many of NYC’s Citi Bikes are still snowed in.

Lyft made a big splash when it bought Citi Bike’s parent company in 2018. It promised huge investments and improved service. But, it’s also raised prices at a stunning rate, far outpacing inflation and fares for other transportation in NYC. And yet, it hasn’t bothered digging out most of its bike docks, according to Streetsblog.

Ayaneo launches the tiny but mighty Pocket S Mini handheld.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chip, starting at $319 for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The screen is a 4.2-inch 4:3 display perfect for retro titles. Plus, it’s got hall-effect joysticks and triggers, housed in a glass and CNC-machined metal body that looks a lot like the Pocket Vert.

Looks like Melania is getting reverse review bombed on Rotten Tomatoes.

Sorry if we don’t believe your “theater was sold out and erupted in applause and cheers.” Wired reviewed 1,398 Melania showings on Fandango and found only two were sold out. Critics’ scores are in the toilet. But we’re expected to believe that with over 100 “verified ratings,” it’s got a 98 percent on the Popcornmeter? Sure.
