How astronomers cope with all those Starlink satellites.

SpaceX has launched over 7,000 low earth satellites that have disrupted astronomical observations. Another 70,000 LEO satellites are expected to launch before 2031 from SpaceX and its competitors including three 10,000 mega-constellations originating from China. Last night, 2,182 PDF files, containing 63,400 pages of previously classified information compiled by the Warren Commission, were posted to the US National Archives without redactions, bringing what will surely be a swift conclusion to “who shot JFK” conspiracies. If not, more documents will be released as they’re digitized.

On Monday, Samsung family scion and chair Lee Jae-yong (aka, Jay Y. Lee) said the company is facing “a do-or-die survival issue.” Today its executive leadership doubled-down on promises to better compete globally at its annual meeting.
