The UK’s biggest video game retailer, GAME, is phasing out trade-ins for physical games next month. Eurogamer first reported the news earlier this week, and a spokesperson for the chain has since confirmed the move in a comment to the BBC. This effectively hands the entire pre-owned market of video games in the UK to rival CeX, which has built up hundreds of stores in the UK dealing in pre-owned video games and electronics. It’s the end of an era, just as digital game sales continue to dominate.

Activision has started warning Call of Duty cheaters that if they attempt to activate aim assist while using a mouse and keyboard the game will automatically close. It’s part of Activision’s Ricochet anti-cheat system, which has also been targeting and banning XIM and Cronus devices — third-party hardware that gives mouse and keyboard users the benefits of aim assist mixed with the benefits of movement from mouse and keyboard.
Hopefully Activision can properly detect players that have wallhacks soon, too.
