Elgato has teased two new HDMI 2.1 capture cards at Twitchcon recently. Senpai Gaming spotted a USB 4K X capture card capable of 4K/144Hz passthrough, and a PCIe 4K Pro that can handle up to 8K/60Hz passthrough. These will compete with AVerMedia’s recent HDMI 2.1 USB capture card. Elgato hasn’t confirmed pricing or a release date yet, though.

Microsoft Word was released 40 years ago today.
Developed by Microsoft, Word was initially released under the name “Multi-Tool Word” on October 25, 1983 before being simplified to Microsoft Word. Copies of the word processing app were bundled in the November issue of the PC World magazine. Word for Windows 1.0 then arrived in 1989. Nowadays Microsoft Word is bundled in Microsoft 365, a cloud-powered subscription for a variety of Office apps and services.
