Slack now has a Stream Deck plug-in.

We love the Stream Deck here at The Verge. It’s already a great Zoom controller and ideal for automating tasks on Windows or MacOS, and now it’s getting Slack support. The new plug-in lets you quickly mute notifications using a Stream Deck button, or open direct messages, group messages, channels, and more. If you assign a button to direct message a particular friend or colleague you’ll even see their online status on the button. You can get the Stream Deck Slack plug-in over at Elgato’s marketplace.

Nvidia has some new Super GPUs ready.

Nvidia is heading to CES next week to announce some new 40-series GPUs. A new teaser makes it clearer than the various leaks that Nvidia has some GeForce announcements to make. We’re expecting to hear about a new RTX 4070 Super, RTX 4070 Super Ti, and even an RTX 4080 Super. All the cards have been heavily leaked in recent weeks, so all that’s really left is to make them official on Monday January 8th.

Microsoft Edge is now an ‘AI browser,’ apparently.

Microsoft has been adding more and more AI features to its Edge browser over the past year, and now the company is branding it the “AI browser.” The naming now appears on iOS and Android versions of Edge, and if you search for Edge in Apple’s App Store you’ll likely see an ad that highlights all the AI-powered features. It looks like 2024 is going to be another big AI push for Microsoft.
