EU won’t reportedly need to approve Microsoft’s Activision deal again.

Bloomberg is reporting that the European Commission won’t need to go through an approvals process for Microsoft’s revised Activision Blizzard deal. Microsoft announced a restructured deal in August, designed to appease UK regulators, that involves transferring cloud gaming rights for current and new Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft. The European Commission originally said it was “carefully assessing” the restructured deal, but it appears it’s now good to go.

Windows 11 is getting more quick settings.

Microsoft has been on a mission to improve the quick settings interface in Windows 11, adding a new volume mixer to it recently. In an upcoming update you’ll soon be able to scroll through quick settings, meaning you’ll have access to more settings from the taskbar. The latest Surface Laptop Studio 2 even has Windows Studio Effects in this area, with options to control the webcam’s background effects, eye contact, and automatic framing.
