The juicy Microsoft Build session is actually tomorrow.

So we know Panos Panay is pumped once again, but he’s also holding a session at Microsoft Build tomorrow on “shaping the future of work with AI.” This could be where we get to hear more about the future of Windows with AI, and who knows maybe even a Windows 12 teaser? Maybe? Hmm?

Microsoft Build starts today and guess who is pumped?

Microsoft’s Windows and Surface chief, Panos Panay, is getting ready to talk onstage at the company’s Build event this week. Such an event can only mean one thing for Panay: he’s PUMPED. Given Panay said at CES earlier year “AI is going to reinvent how you do everything on Windows,” there might be good reason to be pumped. Panay has been in a constant state of pumped for more than a decade now. Stay tuned for all of our Build coverage. Soon.

Boosteroid gets Microsoft’s Xbox PC games on June 1st.

Microsoft has signed 10-year deals with cloud gaming competitors like Nvidia GeForce Now, Ubitus, and Boosteroid to appease regulators over its proposed Activision Blizzard deal. Boosteroid subscribers will now get access to Deathloop, Gears 5, Grounded, and Pentiment on June 1st. Support for games purchased on the Microsoft Store is coming soon, too. It’s similar to the first Xbox PC games arriving on GeForce Now recently.

China approves Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal.

China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has unconditionally approved Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. It’s the 37th country to support the deal, following the EU approval earlier this week. China’s approval comes nearly a month after UK regulators blocked Microsoft’s proposed acquisition, citing cloud gaming competition concerns. Microsoft says it plans to appeal the UK’s decision.

Twitter voice messages appear in more countries.

It looks like Twitter is rolling out its voice messages via DM feature to more markets this month. Twitter users in US and across Europe have been noticing a new popup message to promote voice messages in DMs, which allows you to send people private recorded voice notes. Twitter first started testing this in India in 2021 and the expansion comes just as Twitter gets encrypted DMs.

If you get this popup in a DM then it’s enabled in your country.
