Windows Terminal is now the default command line in Windows 11.

The default terminal emulator in Windows has always been the Windows Console Host, but not anymore. As of the Windows 11 2022 Update, Windows Terminal takes over. You’ll notice when you go to launch a command prompt it now loads inside Windows Terminal. Microsoft’s new Windows Terminal first appeared in Windows 10, following a surprise announcement at the Build developers conference in 2019.

The Windows 10 2022 Update arrives today.

Windows 10 is getting a 2022 Update today. If you’re wondering what’s new I’d love to tell you, but Microsoft hasn’t fully detailed what’s actually new. That’s probably because the update is just designed to fix and improve Windows 10 for commercial customers. Oreo emojis now exist in Microsoft Teams for some reason.

Rumors have suggested Apple is getting ready to launch new iPad Pro models. Now Apple CEO Tim Cook has teased a new iPad in a Twitter post, just as the Apple Store has gone down. Cook’s teaser video includes an interesting camera module and the Apple Pencil. We’re probably minutes away from an official announcement, so buckle up... or as Cook says “take note.”

Microsoft is now forcing its Edge browser on mobile users.

Microsoft has spent the past few years trying to force Windows users into using Edge. It’s now extending that effort to the mobile space where Microsoft can leverage its popular apps. Outlook testers on iOS are now seeing prompts to use Edge when they tap on links in emails. It’s only a test right now, but it’s similar to the prompts found on Windows.
