The city has approved Boring Company’s plan to extend its network of underground tunnels to 68 miles and 81 stations: 21 within Las Vegas city limits and 60 in Clark County.
In May, the “Vegas Loop” plan included 65 miles of the claustrophobic single-lane tubes that funnel passenger-loaded Tesla cars. Clark County said yes to it.
During the company’s Q2 earnings call, CEO Nicholas Woodman said all GoPro paid subscribers will have access to the software for no additional charge. It’ll sync with the cloud and mobile apps and can import footage from third-party cameras.
It’ll be the first desktop app since the company discontinued its GoPro Studio editor in 2018, favoring its simpler Quik app.
GoPro subscriber count is up again by the way, to 2.44 million from the previous quarter’s 2.36 million.
NASA’s Voyager 2 probe is showing signs of a “heartbeat,” according to a tweet from the agency’s Jet Propulsion Lab. The interstellar probe had inadvertently lost contact with Earth last week after a series of planned commands were transmitted to it on July 21st — shifting the Voyager 2’s antenna two degrees away from Earth.
Voyager 2 is expected to reorient and resume communications in October.
