    A retinal implant helped blind people see again.

    Science Corporation (what a name!) announced preliminary clinical trial results of their Prima retinal implant. Wired’s write-up goes into more detail, but the 2mm chip acts as a replacement photoreceptor in the retinas of folks who lost their central vision. After a year, some trial participants were able to read, solve crossword puzzles, and play cards. It’s not the same as normal vision — there’s no color, for instance. But it’s impressive nonetheless!

    Peloton announces its Q1 2025 earnings next Thursday, meaning it’s about time when they announce some good news to jazz up investors. This time around, it’s a holiday partnership with Costco starting November 1st to sell its Bike Plus for a slightly discounted $1,999 (in-store) or $2,199 (online, with delivery). We’ll see how investors feel about it next week.

    Google’s been absorbing Fitbit at a steady rate over the 18 months or so and now, it’s also retiring the OG Fitbit Twitter — er, X — account. It’s not at all surprising, but something about this really underscores that Fitbit is Google now.
