San Diego police would rather Vision Pro users cross streets ‘the old-fashioned way.’

Since the Vision Pro launched, we all knew intrepid first adopters would take the headset into the real world. However, the San Diego Police Department issued a safety reminder on Instagram that perhaps not every situation is suited for mixed reality.

“Keep those virtual experiences on the sidewalk, folks, and let’s cross streets the old-fashioned way — with our eyes wide open to the real world, unobstructed and without distractions!”

Nobody tell them about the dude wearing the Vision Pro in the Cybertruck.

Don’t mess with Peloton fans — GymKit is here to stay.

A few days ago, Peloton announced it was getting rid of GymKit support for the Apple Watch on its Bike Plus. Technically, Peloton had already introduced a separate Apple Watch integration two years ago. But GymKit was originally a selling point for the more expensive bike, and removing it ticked off the company’s loyal users. Now, Peloton says that they heard the feedback “loud and clear.” GymKit ain’t going anywhere.

    Google’s launching a Pixel Watch 2 mail-in replacement service.

If you’ve got a broken Pixel Watch 2, you can now skip the customer support process to get a discounted replacement. All you have to do scroll down the Google Store site and click Repairs. You should see a form. Fill out the information requested and select the mail-in option when it appears.

This is an improvement over Google’s previous Pixel Watch repair policy, but still has some holes. First-gen Pixel Watches aren’t eligible, and this service is only available in the US and EMEA.

Tim Cook nixes the idea of licensing Masimo’s blood oxygen tech.

Despite mixed earnings, Tim Cook doesn’t seem to be sweatin’ the Apple Watch ban. Apple Insider spotted Cook telling CNBC on a live broadcast that it’s “focused on appeal” and that customers have “lots of reasons to buy the watch even without the blood oxygen sensor.”

Masimo CEO Joe Kiani has publicly said he hasn’t heard from Apple about potentially licensing the company’s blood oxygen tech. However, this is the first time we’ve seen Cook officially confirming it.
