While we wait for the next Switch 2 Nintendo Direct, let’s take a look at the legacy Nintendo’s new console is stepping into. The first Switch started by selling faster in its first two days than the Wii during the same period of its life, a record. It’s also on track to beating the DS as Nintendo’s highest-selling console ever, a milestone it was close to in February.

Barack Obama has joined Bluesky.
Bluesky COO Rose Wang confirmed the account this morning, as TechCrunch spotted. In a Threads post, Obama invited people to go to Bluesky to read stories he was sharing to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.
This new account hasn’t recreated his record-breaking 2015 sprint to a million Twitter followers yet.

Google tests screen-off fingerprint unlock for Pixel phones.
Until now, you’ve only been able to use the scanner when the display is on, either by waking it or by using the phones’ always-on display feature. Now, Android Authority reports that after testing a settings option to enable screen-off fingerprint unlocking on Pixel 9 phones, Google has expanded that test to other Pixel phones in the third Android 16 beta.
