How do you do, fellow kids?

NPR reports that the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, which has been on the meme train for years, has released an album called We’re Safety Now Haven’t We.

Its seven tracks remind you to wear a helmet, not to look at your phone while walking, and uh, not to shoot fireworks at other people.

Honestly, they’re kind of bops? Is that what you say? Sorry, I’m 40.

Final Cut Pro now supports the iPhone 15 Pro’s log-encoded video.

That’s according to today’s update notes for Final Cut Pro and other video-editing apps — even iMovie! (via MacRumors).

The iPhone 15 Pro’s log-encoded video is ideal for video editors because it has no baked-in color profile. That means it records washed-out, low-contrast video, but you can tune the color to your liking in post.

Here, let The Verge’s Vjeran Pavic show you.

SpaceX is trying to get the DOJ’s suit over its hiring policies tossed.

Elon Musk’s company is arguing in a Texas federal court that the Justice Department’s lawsuit alleging that the company is illegally disqualifying asylees and refugees from employment is unconstitutional.

Bloomberg noted in a report last week that the company is engaged in “a handful of lawsuits by former employees” over discrimination.

The company’s Texas filing may be to ensure the case funnels through the Fifth Circuit appellate court on appeal since that court tends to push back on federal regulatory action lately, writes Space News.

Google is rolling out patches for a Pixel vulnerability.

The patch is for all devices running Android 13, covering the Pixel 4a up (Verizon) or Pixel 6 and up (T-Mobile, Google Fi) in the US. That includes both the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold for Verizon customers.

Google says the vulnerability “may be under limited, targeted exploitation,” indicating it’s not a widespread issue. The company doesn’t offer any information about the vulnerability itself.
