Today Blink is announcing its first outdoor camera: the $119 Blink XT. Blink is a newcomer that’s quickly making a name for itself with tiny, low-cost security cameras that are truly wireless thanks to their ability to run for two years or more off a pair of regular lithium AAs. The Blink XT continues the trend but adds weatherproofing, a 1080p camera, and infrared night vision. That means you can put the Blink XT pretty much anywhere you want... like hidden in a tree — anywhere within range of your Wi-Fi signal.

The new Blink XT has the same 110-degree field of view of the company’s $99 indoor camera. It’s also the same size and shape and uses the same mount, same Alexa integration, and comes with the same free cloud storage solution that saves motion-activated video in clips from 5 to 60 seconds — clips you can access from free iOS and Android apps.
The Blink XT is available for $119 preorder today but it won’t be shipping until February.
