You can now skip Netflix intros with your Chromecast

You can now skip the Netflix intros that you only watch at the start of a season with your Chromecast. This feature has been available on desktop and mobile devices for a while, but it’s only now debuting for Chromecast users, as pointed out by a tipster at Android Police.

Currently, the skip button works by appearing within the controller interface on the phone app. That makes sense because the Chromecast doesn’t add any new input functionality to the screen it’s attached to, unless paired to a Google Home.

For some reason, you can only use this feature — which is still rolling out — with a Chromecast that’s connected to an Android device. An iOS version of the “skip intro” feature will certainly be added at some point.
