LG updated its Q series of midrange smartphones last month with the Q7 lineup, and now it’s announcing the Q7’s bigger, stylus-equipped sibling, the Q Stylus.

The Q Stylus is essentially the midrange Galaxy Note to the Q7’s Galaxy S, if you will. Instead of the 5.5-inch, 18:9 display on the Q7, there’s a 6.2-inch 18:9 display and a larger form factor to match, along with an included stylus. Otherwise, it has nearly identical specifications across the board.

Like the Q7, it’ll be available in a high-end Q Stylus Plus model, a middle-of-the-road Q Stylus version, and a budget Q Stylus Alpha option, with the same 1.5 GHz octa-core and 1.8GHz octa-core chipsets (depending on the model).

It’s basically a bigger Q7

Q Stylus Plus (like the Q7 Plus) will offer 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the regular Q Stylus and Q Stylus Alpha have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (again, like the Q7 and Q7 Alpha).

The Q Stylus Plus and regular Q Stylus will both have a 16-megapixel camera on the back, and a front-facing 8-megapixel lens, while the Q Stylus Alpha gets a slight downgrade to 13-megapixel / 5-megapixel lenses, respectively. All three models will feature a 3,300mAh battery and ship with Android 8.1 Oreo, along with the IP68 water resistance, DTS:X surround sound support, and USB-C fast-charging.

According to LG, the Q Stylus will launch “on a limited basis” later this month in North America and Asia, although no price or firm release date has been announced yet.
