From San Diego Comic-Con International and New York Comic Con to DragonCon and Emerald City Con, these are among the most attended annual pop culture gatherings in the world, and with all the chatter and change brewing in fan communities lately, each event is bound to be all the more exciting. There weren’t any huge surprises at Comic-Con this year, but there were still plenty of cool reveals and trailers.

In addition to the new season, three extended-length episodes have also been greenlit, including a Christmas special for 2027. And, unlike season 13, this one won’t drop in one giant, bingable chunk. Season 14 will return to weekly episodes.
We heard the Adult Swim psychedelic thriller about the medical industry would be returning, but that was way back in March of 2025. At Comic-Con, it was revealed that said return would be happening in “early 2027,” and we even got a quick peek at what’s to come.
The latest entry in the series was given a firm release date at Comic Con 2026, after being revealed during a Sony State of Play showcase in early June. Unlike previous God of War titles, this one won’t focus on angry dad Kratos, instead following the more dexterous mom Laufey.
Warner Bros Discovery debuted the season 2 trailer for House of the Dragon at CCXP in Brazil today. The season’s eight episodes will start streaming on Max in summer 2024.

The production also announced additional actors joining the show: Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
Amazon’s Prime Video announced yesterday that the trailer is now on YouTube after showing it off at New York Comic Con.

AMC debuted a trailer for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon during the San Diego Comic-Con yesterday (via Deadline).
In it, we see Dixon find out he’s to transport a young child across the dead-ridden wastes of France to save the world, which sounds awfully familiar. But whatever, I’m always down for more Norman Reedus.
