“The light of my life is finally fading.”
Legendary and influential game designer Tomonobu Itagaki — best-known for the Dead or Alive series and reviving Ninja Gaiden — has died at 58. In a pre-written note on Facebook, published by a friend, Itagaki wrote:
My life has been a series of battles. We stayed winning.
I’ve caused a lot of trouble.
I stand by my beliefs and I owe it.
No regrets.
