Wired’s Rhett Allain has contributed to scientific community once again; this time he’s using science and math to analyze yet another of Angry Birds’ colorful avian missiles. He’s already determined the size of the slingshot and the bird, how the green bird works, and that the blue bird has greater mass when it’s split up. Now he’s exploring the oh-so-powerful acceleration of the yellow angry bird. After creating many graphs and doing much maths, he’s found that the bird goes 30 m/s after it’s tapped, but if the bird is falling down when you tap it then it accelerates much slower than it would if it were still on the upward part of its arc.
