After months of rumors, the Nintendo 3DS port of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has an official release date of March 8, 2012 — at least in Japan. After announcing the launch at a press event yesterday, Konami added the date to the game's Japanese website. The rest of us may have to wait a while, however: Konami told GameSpot that a North American release date can't be confirmed at this time, leaving fans of the franchise with a scanty nine games to tide them over.
