Roku announced today that its players in the UK and Ireland are shipping with access to BBC iPlayer. The tiny streaming players hook directly into a TV and will allow Brits to access more than 40 content channels including MLB.TV, Facebook, Flickr, WSJ, FoxNews.com, and Crackle (UK only). The addition of BBC iPlayer is exclusive to the Roku LT and Roku 2 XS players in the UK and Ireland, and will not be available in the US. Both devices are now shipping for £49.99 and £99.99 respectively.
