Icons spotted on Samsung’s website show the Galaxy Buds 3 and 3 Pro headphones with AirPods-like stems — much like the leaked Galaxy Buds Pro 3 image posted by Evan Blass last week.

Headphones were the original piece of wearable technology and they remain as essential today as ever. But they are starting to change rapidly now, as things like noise cancelling and Bluetooth wireless technology enable the dream of completely cable-free living. What will the best headphones of the future look like?



There are clear tradeoffs — like a charging case with no extra battery juice — but the price and Beats’ cultural cachet are likely enough to guarantee success for the Solo Buds.





The company’s Elite earbuds hit at the right time and had their moment, but the end was inevitable. Thanks for pushing multipoint until it became the norm, Jabra.
In a live Q&A video, Sonos’ Adib Mehrabi and Cameron MacLeod offered a more specific timeframe for when the Ace’s signature feature will expand to the company’s other soundbars. Sonos is targeting late summer / early fall.
That’s also when Android users will be able to set up TV Audio Swap in the first place.
iFixit has completed its teardown of the Sonos Ace headphones, and it’s always interesting to see how a company’s first product in a new category differs from what’s come before.
The battery seems easy enough to swap for a new one. However, Sonos has warned there’s “a pretty important acoustic seal” that you risk damaging if you get it wrong.
Evan Blass of Evleaks fame has leaked the upcoming design for the new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro headphones, which abandon the bulbous blob look of Samsung’s previous pro buds. We’ll know for sure in one month if rumors are true.




Preorders for the Solo Buds, Beats’ most affordable true wireless earbuds yet, start on June 18th. The Solo Buds strip out features like noise cancellation, and their tiny case doesn’t even include extra battery power. But you’re left with a pair of earbuds that should prove very comfortable. As for how they sound, I’ll have a review up sometime next month.
