There’s a gap in research around fertility, and tech companies are surging in to fill the space. But they’re not tested rigorously enough for doctors to trust.


Instead of sentencing Elizabeth Holmes today as previously scheduled, the judge will hear arguments from her lawyers seeking a new trial.
They claim former Theranos lab director Adam Rosendorff, who testified against Holmes, visited her and said he felt like he had done something wrong. Rosendorff later made a sworn declaration saying he stands by his testimony.

Today, the FDA authorized booster shots for younger kids that protect against both the original strain of covid-19 and the omicron variant. Kids as young as six can get the Moderna version, and kids as young as five can get the Pfizer version. The boosters have been authorized in adults since August.












The police’s practice of using DNA from sexual assault victims to identify suspects in other cases came to light earlier this year. At the time, legal experts said the practice likely violated California’s constitution. It’s yet another example of the increased risks posed by growing DNA databases.


Long COVID isn’t the only thing that can cause brain fog — other culprits include chemotherapy, hormone trouble, and multiple sclerosis — but it’s nice to see that people are starting to take it seriously.
