Here are Samsung’s Lunar Lake and 8-core Snapdragon laptops.

Samsung’s entry into the Microsoft Copilot Plus AI PCs was the weirdly throttled (and pricey) Galaxy Book4 Edge, but here’s a new 15-incher with Qualcomm’s budget 8-core chip, plus a Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 backflipper with Intel’s Lunar Lake.

No prices yet, but both boast over 24 hours video playback; the Book5 has a 16-inch, 3K 120Hz OLED display that claims 120 percent DCI-P3 color.

This Snapdragon-powered laptop is a productivity machine, but unless work foots the bill, you can do better.

The ‘world’s first horizontally foldable 360 degree laptop’ is just $900.

I wasn’t expecting the Acemagic X1 to be affordable, but it makes sense — like we discussed a month ago, its other specs are pretty mid.

ALSO like we discussed a month ago, the laptop will indeed have Stewart Brand’s iconic Whole Earth Catalog quote engraved into a decorative gold rectangle above the keyboard because reasons!

AI laptop stickers have arrived to ruin your day.

Look, I know unsightly stickers on Windows laptops have been with us since long ago when “Intel Inside” was something people actually wanted boast about. But come on, HP.

Yes, I know it’s meant to be removed. It’s still too large and thirsty.

PC industry growth wasn’t a fluke.

IDC and Canalys disagree whether this is the second or third consecutive quarter of growth, but either way, the slump is definitively behind us — and we haven’t even seen the impact of this year’s Qualcomm, AMD and Intel chip launches yet.

Here’s how Qualcomm’s new laptop chips really stack up to Apple, Intel, and AMD

We tested every Snapdragon X chip against the Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen 8000, and Apple M3.

AMD’s answer to Qualcomm and Intel AI laptop chips is just weeks away. Technically, it’s a delay!

NotebookCheck writes that the first Asus laptops with Ryzen AI 300 chips, codename Strix Point, will launch July 17th at an event originally scheduled for July 8th. Best Buy has changed its ship dates to July 28th, from July 15th originally.

Two weeks till launch, four weeks till availability.

LG Display’s tandem OLED display for laptops has begun mass production.

LG used double-stacked OLED technology for in-car screens even before it popped up in Apple’s new iPad Pros. Next up are laptops like Dell’s new XPS 13 AI PC.

Here’s what LG claims tandem OLED does for laptops:

It can deliver double the lifespan and triple the brightness of a conventional single-layer OLED display, while reducing power consumption by up to 40 percent...LG Display has been able to make it around 40 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter than existing OLED laptop screens

iFixit looks inside the new Surface AI PCs.

There’s no magic AI dust to fix the Recall mess, but they are notably repairable, with icons and QR codes to ease the process if that affects your buying decision. Expect more from us soon about how these match up with Microsoft’s promises.

Dell XPS 14 review: new, improved, and underwhelming

The new 14-inch XPS has the redesigned chassis, touchbar, and invisible trackpad of the XPS 13 Plus, but better thermals and twice the battery life. And yet.

Apple is selling refurbished M3 MacBook Airs now.

Refurbished models start at $929 for the base 13-inch one. That’s cheaper than most retailers’ deals on new MacBook Airs, and Apple’s refurbished models tend to feel every bit as new as an unused one, as MacRumors noted.

Read our March review for Joanna Nelius’ thoughts on its key upgrades, two external display support (versus one in older Apple silicon Airs), and faster base storage.
