Microsoft unveiled a challenge to CES 2012 attendees earlier this week, beat Windows Phone’s speed and win $100. The competition generated a lot of interest at the company’s booth, and even in the comments here at The Verge, but how did Microsoft do? Fairly well based on Microsoft’s own strict set of challenges, 30 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. CES attendees were questioned to find the most appropriate test out of a number of typical scenarios, and Windows Phone won the majority of the head-to-head benchmarks.

A few challengers were able to beat Microsoft’s Windows Phone speed though, proving that fast fingers and Android widgets help. The tests seemed fair, if a little limited, and at least three people stepped away $100 better off — not bad for a day in Vegas.
