Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced that Yakuza Kiwami 3 (a Yakuza 3 remake, plus a new side story called Dark Ties) is coming to consoles and Steam on February 12th, 2026. The brawler presents as gritty, but these games are beloved for having a soft, humor-packed underbelly.
PC Gaming
The PC is one of the most popular gaming platforms in the world, and one that’s constantly changing. Here at The Verge we cover every aspect, including the latest hardware developments from companies like Nvidia and Logitech, massively popular games like Fortnite and Overwatch, and hugely influential digital platforms like Steam and itch.io.

The $800 OneXGPU Lite is tiny and versatile with both OCuLink and 80Gbps USB 4 v2 (which should work with Thunderbolt 5 machines too). Its older AMD 7600M XT won’t beat the pricier Asus XG Mobile, though, which has an internal power supply — while the OneXGPU requires a big external brick.

Nearly two years after it was announced, we finally have gameplay video of iRacing’s first attempt at a new stock car racing game, and it looks pretty good. It’s debuting on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles first, on October 14th, before the Steam release for PC on November 11th.
The Umurangi Generation developer’s new game, Penguin Colony, just premiered at the Six One Indie Showcase stream alongside 46 other upcoming indie titles. It’s a horror-infused narrative adventure based on an H.P. Lovecraft novella but you play as penguins, and it’s “coming soon.”

r/GamingLeaksAndRumors is abuzz with the possibility — because even though Meta is about to reveal smart glasses with a screen, some VR/XR YouTubers are traveling elsewhere, dropping hints, and one just arrived in Seattle not far from Valve. Valve recently trademarked “Steam Frame,” and leaks suggest VR gear might be ready!
Riot Games is adding a replay system to Valorant today, allowing Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, and Premier players to observe a game from all 10 players’ first-person perspectives. There are options to fast-forward, slow down, and pause the game, as well as observe the game with a third-person free observer cam. The replay system is coming to consoles on November 11th.
Developer Pocketpair isn’t promising new features just yet — instead, its video sounds like a preemptive apology for the lack of updates you’ll get till then. “It’s no secret that Palworld has a lot of quirks and jank, and we want to take the time to properly address those before releasing the game.”
Remember when the Steam Deck burst onto the scene and validated Linux for gaming in one fell swoop by making your Windows games handheld? Your phone might be next.

If you liked what the previous games have done, you sure are getting exactly more of that.
We’re rather fond of Mechanism accessories around here, and Siri’s latest is something I’ve never seen before: a credible, folding way to attach your handhelds to an airplane seatback without becoming a Reddit meme. Hopefully. $19, shipping today, or bundled with a Magsafe adapter for your phone for $25.
Find Nvidia’s updated Linux app here. In the app’s Settings > Gameplay, set Frame Rate to 90 fps. For best results, I also recommend setting resolution to 3456 x 2160, and running each game at 1440p.
Nvidia also launched its RTX 5080 servers today, but it’s a soft launch:
Alongside the new menu and a bunch of other changes, the update also adds a Customization tab to game properties that lets you set custom artwork and custom sort titles for your games, according to Valve’s update notes.

Valve watcher Brad Lynch thinks so. He just found code to suggest Valve’s “Roy” controllers are no longer marked as prototypes, and that Valve has finished building drivers for a Steam Link VR USB dongle that apparently uses Wi-Fi 6E to connect the headset to your computer. Is this Steam Frame?
Valve has filed two trademarks, one for consoles, accessories, and controllers, and one for “computer hardware” generally. The Valve Index VR headset trademarked the same, so don’t take “console” literally! With Steam Deck, it filed for handhelds, too. I bet the “Frame” isn’t Deckard, Roy or Fremont, but the whole enchilada:
