Last year, Apple released its latest Apple TV set-top box, and its first to feature the App Store. Today at its press event, the company gave an update on just how many third-party apps have already made their way to the television screen: 5,000. Tim Cook showcased HBO Now, NCAA March Madness, and other apps as some examples of the platform’s unique strengths.
