There goes the neighborhood.

David Robert Mitchell — the director best-known for the excellent horror flick It Follows — is making the jump to summer blockbusters with The End of Oak Street, in which a suburban block somehow gets overrun with hungry dinosaurs. It hits theaters on August 14th.

Little Death always comes back.

The latest trainer for writer / director Jane Schoenbrun’s slasher thriller Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is as spellbinding at it is deeply, deeply messed up.

I’m sorry, Avatar. You may be confused.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se in the new trailer for season two of Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series. But there are plenty of action shots showing off how much more intense the elemental bending will be when the season premieres on June 25th.

In brightest day, in blackest night.

While the first teaser for HBO’s upcoming Lantern series felt a little to grounded, the new one actually gives us a pretty good look at how Hal Jordan’s superpowers are going to look on the small screen.

The woods are looking wild.

It sure seems like Laika has another banger on its hands, at least based on the new trailer for the dark fairy tale Wildwood. The stop-motion movie hits theaters at just the right time of year, too, premiering on October 23rd.

The Ghost in the Shell has a premiere date.

Bandai has given its new Science Saru-produced The Ghost in the Shell reimagining a July 7th premiere date on Amazon Prime Video.

“What is your worst fear?”

There’s a lot of sci-fi streaming this summer, but if you’re looking for something a little more intense, there’s always the latest iteration of Cape Fear. If nothing else, Javier Bardem looks appropriately terrifying in the new trailer, which should make it worth checking out when it starts streaming on June 5th.

Sci-fi streaming season kicks off soon.

We’re about to enter a busy few months for new science fiction shows, and one that I’m particularly excited about is The Boroughs, an extraterrestrial mystery that’s set in a retirement home and that also boasts one hell of a cast. It hits Netflix on May 21st.

Some epic daddy issues.

The latest trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey shows the sheer scope of the film, from large-scale battles to gigantic mythological beasts. But it also hones in on the personal aspect; namely, Telemachus’ (Tom Holland) need to reunite with his father (Matt Damon). The film hits theaters in July.

Wile E. Coyote lives to scheme another day.

Though Warner Bros. tried to kill Coyote vs. Acme for the insurance money tax write-offs, Ketchup Entertainment has released the long overdue movie’s first trailer ahead of its theatrical debut on August 28th.

Get lost in the Labyrinth.

Some of the best explorations of virtual worlds come from anime, and up next is Labyrinth from director Shoji Kawamori. It centers on a high school student who gets trapped in her phone, only for a virtual doppelgänger to take over her life. It’s hitting theaters soon, but only for two days: May 10th and 11th.

Here Piggy, Piggy.

If you thought writer Jack Thorne’s Adolescence was a stressful watch, the new trailer for his take on Lord of the Flies might be a bit much to take in before the series hits Netflix on May 4th.

Hello, Motoko.

There’s a new teaser out for Science Saru’s upcoming The Ghost in the Shell animated series, and it looks like we’re in for an absolute banger when the project premieres this July.

HBO’s Harry Potter series premieres this Christmas.

HBO has released the first trailer for its upcoming Harry Potter series, which will help fund executive producer J.K. Rowling’s ongoing crusade against transgender people. In addition to dropping the trailer, HBO has also bumped the series’ premiere date up to December 25th 2026.

HBO’s Green Lantern series looks too grounded for its own good.

The entire point of HBO’s upcoming Lanterns series is to introduce new incarnations John Stewart and Hal Jordan — two superpowered space cops — to DC Studios’ cinematic universe. But Lanterns first teaser trailer makes it seem like the show might feel much more like True Detective when it premieres in August.

Jane Schoenbrun’s getting campy with it.

I Saw the TV Glow writer / director Jane Schoenbrun is back with Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, a horror about a director (Hannah Einbinder) becoming strangely entangled with her lead actress (Gillian Anderson) as the two work on the reboot of a long-dead slasher franchise. The film’s out August 7th.

We’re doing Pride and Prejudice again.

Jane Austen’s signature work is being adapted for Netflix. Think Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016), but no zombies, so think the 2005 film starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen, but a series, so think the 1995 miniseries starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth.

It’s scheduled for release sometime later this year; Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden star.

A closer look at Toy Story’s evil tablet.

We already knew that the threat in Toy Story 5 would be a fresh piece of technology voiced by Greta Lee, and the latest trailer shows a bit more of the adorably creepy Lilypad, which is “always listening.” I guess I know what fictional gadget I’m reviewing next.

Is “apocaloptimist” the new word for AI hype man?

Focus Features is billing The AI Doc: Or How I Became An Apocaloptimist as an “eye-opening” exploration of “the most powerful technology humanity has ever created.” You’d think the doc might feature some critical voices, but its new trailer makes it feel like it might be one big commercial. The film premieres on March 27th.

Put a hat on that baby.

The latest trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu really highlights how very, very young Grogu still is for one of Yoda’s species, which makes it seem that much more absurd that Din Djarin still hasn’t found his son a helmet to protect that (presumably) soft head.

This isn’t even Tony Tony Chopper’s final form.

There’s a lot to see in Netflix’s new trailer for the live-action One Piece’s upcoming second season, but the most surprising reveal here is a fresh look at Tony Tony Chopper’s (Mikaela Hoover) Walk Point form that turns him into a much more normal-looking reindeer. The show’s out March 10th.

Pixar previews Hoppers.

Just before kickoff, Disney and Pixar previewed their next CG family flick, Hoppers. As we’ve heard and seen in a teaser trailer, this one follows a world where people put their minds into 3D-printed versions of animals to try and live among them. It’s coming to theaters on March 6th, although the YouTube description mentions an early viewing window on February 28th.

A space crab made of rocks would die for Ryan Gosling in the final Project Hail Mary trailer.

The adaptation of Andy Weir’s best-selling novel is hitting theaters on March 20th. But, before that, we’re getting our clearest look yet at Rocky, the alien that befriends Gosling’s Ryland Grace. This trailer really ramps up the drama and… wait, why is Grace teaching Rocky to dance?

Just follow the rules.

Earlier this week Neon confirmed that the live-action adaptation of Exit 8 would hit theaters in April, and now we have a new trailer that shows off its creepy world and very strict set of rules.

Hold for Undertone.

The latest trailer for A24’s podcast-focused horror film Undertone is big on unsettling vibes, but the cascade of creepy recordings driving its main character to her wits’ end make it seem like she just needs to log off and get out of the house a little more.

Joe Jackson put them kids through hell.

The latest trailer for Antoine Fuqua’s Michael Jackson biopic is here, and it makes the movie seem like it’s really going to hammer home how Joe Jackson’s tough parenting turned his children into (dysfunctional) stars.

Steal her look.

The only thing that might have made the new easer trailer for writer / director Boots Riley’s upcoming movie I Love Boosters even better would be a surprise guest appearance from Winona Rider decked out in Marc Jacobs. The film hits theaters on May 22nd.

It’s a me, your weekend plans.

What better way to spend Sunday morning than with a fresh Super Mario Galaxy movie trailer. Nintendo is streaming its next Direct showcase for the sequel on January 25th at 9AM ET. Hopefully the talking flower will make an appearance. For a refresher, here’s the most recent look.

A Darth Maul redemption arc?

While the new trailer for Disney Plus’ Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord series doesn’t at all make the Sith Lord look like a heroic figure, it does suggest that meeting his new apprentice is going to reveal new things about his character when the show premieres on April 6th.

Here comes the bride.

Following Guillermo del Toro’s opus last year, a very different take on Frankenstein is on the way. Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, this version sees Jessie Buckley play the reanimated corpse of a murdered woman in 1930s Chicago. It looks fun, and the trailer makes very appropriate use of Florence + the Machine. The Bride hits theaters on March 4th.

The Baroques are coming to One Piece season 2.

The new teaser trailer for the second season of Netflix’s live-action One Piece adaptation introduces the show’s take on Baroque Works, the superpowered crime syndicate fixated on toppling the Arabasta Kingdom and taking out anyone who gets in their way. The new season drops on March 10th.

I would like to unsubscribe.

Podcasts enter the realm of horror with A24’s upcoming flick Undertone, in which “a popular paranormal podcast becomes haunted by terrifying recordings.” Maybe don’t watch the trailer with headphones on. It’s due in theaters on March 13th.

X marks the spot.

Teasers for Avengers: Doomsday continue to trickle out, and surprising no one — at least, no one who watched that hours-long cast reveal — the latest confirms that the new film will prominently feature the X-Men. Watch for a blink-and-you’ll miss it shot of a very emotional Cyclops.

Old Man Robin Hood.

Hugh Jackman is taking another stab at playing an aging anti hero, this time in the historical thriller The Death of Robin Hood. The film is helmed by Michael Sarnoski — director of Pig and the live-action Death Stranding feature — and is slated to hit theaters sometime this year.

The Strangest Thing.

The main Stranger Things series is coming to an end when the final episode is released tomorrow, on New Year’s Eve at 8PM ET.

Netflix released this new trailer for the finale, which is also going to be shown in theaters, where people can watch together regardless of their familiarity with “shipping” and/or fandom designation.

Here’s a look at Nicolas Cage playing Madden.

John Madden, that is, filling the shoes of the legendary NFL coach and commentator, in David O. Russell’s upcoming biopic for Prime Video. There’s only the briefest still of a video game shown in this short teaser trailer, and a quick glimpse of John Mulaney as EA exec Trip Hawkins.

Madden is scheduled for release on Thanksgiving Day, 2026.
