It's not official yet, but it looks like Microsoft's Zune hardware may have faded into the good night -- all mentions of the Zune HD and its brethren have been removed from the Zune website, which has been refocused around the Zune music service on Windows Phone, the Xbox 360, and the PC. The move comes just a few days after Redmond rejiggered the Zune Pass pricing scheme to be more competitive with newer music offerings like Spotify and Rdio, so it looks like there's some much-needed housecleaning going on over at Zune HQ -- we'll see if these moves signal a renewed focus on the somewhat-forgotten service. Update: It looks like this is a case of website malpractice. Microsoft has returned the Zune to its rightful place after a mixup which caused the device to appear nixed completely on the company’s pages.
