A 10.1-inch Lenovo tablet said to be sporting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and a quad-core Tegra 3 system-on-chip has made its way to the pages of Engadget. It's not clear if the expected year-end release will be for the company's home country of China or beyond, but it's said to feature an impressive 2GB of 1.6GHz 1.6Gbps DDR3 RAM, a USB socket for hosting peripherals, and a rear-facing camera with LED flash. Other features include a "special fusion-skin body" and a fingerprint scanner that apparently doubles as an optical joystick.

With this leak, Lenovo joins a bevy of official and unofficial Android-based Tegra 3 tablets from Acer, HTC, ASUS and pretty much every other me-too manufacturer by the time the CES and Mobile World Congress shows are done in February.

Update: While Engadget quotes a “1,600MHz clock speed,” the DDR3 RAM is more than likely the 30-nm LPDDR3 (low power double-data-rate 3) DRAM announced by Samsung back in September capable of transfer rates up to 1,600Mbps.
