Last month, a leaked XML document revealed the existence of the Acer Iconia Tab A700, an Android tablet which would allegedly come with both a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and a practically unheard-of 1920 x 1200 resolution display. Now, Russian site Nomobile.ru claims to have obtained a non-functional version of the slate and is sharing what could be the first pictures and confirmed details of the Asus Transformer Prime competitor. According to the publication, it weighs a fairly hefty 1.43 pounds, partly due to the 9800mAh battery on board, and sports 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and has a SIM slot for 3G support. There’s also allegedly a 5-megapixel camera around back with LED flash, an HD-capable front-facing imager for video chat, and the standard 3.5mm audio jack, volume rocker, and orientation lock switch. Don’t expect full-size ports this time around, though, as it looks like we’re dealing with micro-USB for data and micro-HDMI for video out. If the publication’s sources are right, we’ll see the A700 (and its smaller cousin the A200) at CES, and find it on shelves next spring.
